This is likely to be Ernest Keith Agnew, born on 6th Sept 1895, baptized on 10th November of the same year at Chorley, the son of Ernest Agnew and Marion Shelmerdine, who were originally from Salford.
In 1901, they are living on Macclesfield Road in Alderley Edge, with five servants. The family later moved to The Moss, on Chelford Road in Great Warford.
Little in known about Ernest’s military service, but when his father passed away in 1917, Ernest is named as a Second Lieutenant of the Machine Gun Corps.
He married Beryl Maud Tompson in around 1925.
Ernest himself died in 1972, aged 76.
